Annette Williams, Bronx Environmental Stewardship Training Program
Annette Williams is the director of the nationally recognized Bronx Environmental Stewardship Training (B.E.S.T.) program at Sustainable South Bronx.  B.E.S.T. provides proven, effective green collar job training and placement services, and other employment guidance to residents of the Bronx and the rest of NYC.  Annette has over 20 years of experience as an activist for environmental justice. She has been a field director with Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), and Team Building Facilitator for Americorps.  She is guided in this work by a simple motto: The earth needs us as much as we need it. She is a mother of seven and grandmother of 10, and holds a Bachelors degree in the field of early childhood development.
